Does anyone remember a TV programme in the ‘70s called ‘The Good Life ’? It was one of our favourite programmes and showed in a light-hearted way how hard it was to be self-sustaining.
"We're going to live the good life Barbara"
Tom decided on his 40th birthday that he had enough of the rat race. So he packed his job in, and declared that he and his long-suffering wife Barbara were going to live a simple self-sufficient life. They were going to grow their own crops as well as raising pigs and chickens.
Their snooty neighbours, Jerry and Margot (mainly Margot), were so comically not impressed with the state of the garden next door that they had many funny encounters with their ‘unconventional’ neighbours.
We fondly remember Tom and Barbara wearing muddy dungarees and baggy jumpers and always holding their backs, which ached from all the digging. If only our CELPOD™ technology was available back then, were sure they would have had an easier life. I suppose that the programme wouldn’t have been as much fun without all the calamity!
Growing your own food has come a long way since the ‘70s and here at Microgrower, we believe that everyone should be given the chance to grow their own plants, whether they have a garden or not. We certainly don’t think that, as in poor Tom and Barbara’s case, gardeners need to have a constantly bad back!
Our use of CELPOD™ and our innovative products make for an easier life both indoors and outdoors. We think we have covered most of the hardships that Tom and Barbara endured.
If you’re interested in the benefits of growing the CELPOD™ way and finding out how clean and simple it is. Check out our future blogs.
If you are living Tom and Barbara’s life we would love to hear your stories...
